聯合利華在2018年決定就選擇單一總部。最初的選擇落在鹿特丹，部分原因可能是由於宣佈取消股息稅。然而，在有影響力的股東反對下，最終選擇了倫敦。荷蘭取消紅利預提稅的工作沒有進行下去。
公司結構的變化意味著重要的策略決策現在起將在英國倫敦進行。克諾爾和素食屠夫等品牌仍在鹿特丹管理。
聯合利華NV的荷蘭股份轉換成英國股，（公司治理）只剩下一種法律形式，即英國PLC。該英股確實會在阿姆斯特丹證券交易所上市。主要是紙面上的變化，在實踐中不會立即產生重大影響。
